I know.....its about time!!!!

Ok Ok, so I know it’s about time I updated my blog and let you all know about our ten days in Guatemala! We had a great first week with the Footes seeing how things work with everyday life of Danny in language school and Daph running things around the house, going to market, etc. It was a great time for Danny and I to talk to each other about plans once Sarah and I are down there and ideas that Danny himself has. We really spent some time talking about everything…literally!!!

After meeting up with our team from Iowa First Bapt Church we headed to the lake and to Danny and Daph’s house and it is beautiful. Where Sarah and I slept we could look out the window in bed and see Volcan San Pedro!! Absolutely beautiful and amazing, Things went well with our team doing VBS at a Christian school in the town of San Pedro, everyone did well establishing friendships and relationships with the kids and teachers at the school.

I know that this is very nebulous and not very detailed but even after a week of recouping (if that is possible) I am still searching for the words to describe our time in Guatemala. We are incredibly excited about getting down there and we pray that our time frame is the same as Gods. Please pray for us as we move closer and closer to getting to Guatemala, currently we are at about 17% and move closer with each speaking engagement. We received great responses at Dry Creek Bible, Grace Bible and Lake Charles Bible and look forward to continuing speaking within the Camp Pearl Ministry churches. Pray that an opportunity to speak at Camp Pearl next week will work out for all of us.

Thank you all for your prayers for our mission trip this year and the lives we have impacted as well as the lives that were impacted by the mission trip. A year from now seems way too long before our next trip so if you attend a church that works out multiple mission trips please let me know so we can talk. Thanks again and I tried to upload the video/movie from this year’s mission trip but you will have to go to our blogspot at to see it.
